The Dark Forest

[Raikou]

Surrounding the small town where the bar resides, stretching all the way around the massive lake on which the beach is located, is a forest. It is said that within lies a demon, known only as 'It' which takes on the form of a travellers greatest fear. Few who enter leave alive, and of those few leave with their sanity...

OOC- A place for when you have the urge to just randomly kill things. I may pop in every once in awhile with some sort of stronger foe for my own entertainment. No rules, just don't blow up the world.

[Raikou]

Raikou stood on the edge of the dark forest, peering into the gloom. No light from the outside could pierce these tree branches, yet he could see some of the way in easily. Something on the tree trunks seemed to glow. He walked several feet into the darkness. Looking up, the branches looked as if they had been designed. He heard footsteps behind him. Venturing in, he found himself squinting to see just a metre ahead, even with the luminous fungi on the trunks. He heard footsteps, and felt a hadn close around his throat. He was forced backwards into a tree, and kneed in the gut. He could feel a large power level emanating from this being, who kept him pinned against the tree by his throat. He struggled to kick out, but could not lift his legs high enough to connect. He couldn't breathe, his vision was starting to go blurry. A dark figure bowled into the side of the assailant, knocking it down. As Raikou's vision cleared, he recognised Toka, mainly by his ki signature.

[Toka]

Toka quickly threw a Ki ball to finish the attacker off. He turned to Rakou and smirked, tough it couldn't be seen. "Having a scouter helps. Let's you know where they are, If they have a ki signature. But next to useless when the foe is hiding their Ki. Anyway, who said you could start the party without me?" Toka quickly checked his scouter to see if there were any powers near them. Not readily seeing anything, he turned back to Raikou. "We shoud stick together, seing as these guys seem to be unimpeded by the dark"

[Raikou]

"Good idea. You got the message then?" He didn't wait for an answer, as it was obvious Toka had recieved it. He walked into the gloom. "Better get going then." He said. The two walked rapidly into the darkness of the trees. Soon, they could find no path leading in any direction. Sounds came from the bushes at both sides, from in front, and from behind. Raikou turned at each sound, but Toka just laughed. Apparently, he didn't know the full extent of damage these creatures can do. Eventually, the two came to a point where they could no longer sense Ki signaures from outside the forest. The darkness seemed to weigh. It pushed in on Raikou and Toka, making them feel weaker than normal.

[Toka]

"What the heck is going on, I'm starting to feel tired. I bet it's a trick by one of these creatures. The next one that tries anything is going to regret it." He couldn't explain what was happening, but he knew it wasn't natural. And from what he had noticed, none of them seemed to be threatening....so far. He noticed his scouter was nearly constantly picking something up. good thing he turned off the sound or he would have gone insane by now. It seemed no matter where they went these things were following, watching. He couldn't explain it. "I think we better watch it. I have no clue whats up with these things, other than the fact their following us. It's almost irritating."

[Raikou]

"Almost?" Raikou threw up around fifty 'Watcher' ki blasts, which hung around, lighting the forest, and giving Raikou a clear view of everything happening around him, including behind him and Toka. He had not yet learned to let others see the images from this move, but he was going to try now. He focused on Toka's ki signature, which was hard, even though he was next to him. He forced images to flow through from his mind into Toka's mind. Images of the forest. "I am trying to share the Watchers with you. I haven't done this before, but it should work." Though the images in his head, he could see a creature attacking him from behind. He twirled and cracked his knuckles around the beasts head. More crept from the shadows, looking like Icers, other than than they were all in their fourth form, and they had fur. Their tails were swishing behind them, as they closed in on Toka and Raikou, outnumbering them four to one, although Raikou and Toka had both the Watchers, and Sayains natural fighting ability.

[Toka]

Toka pulled out his sword of Inner Ki and teleport behind three of the quickly slashing at them, just barely killing them. "Guess I gotta power up a bit." Toke quickly jumped up to 75 million and joined the fight, cutting down several and blasting a good many others. "Dang, at this rate we'll be too tired to fight the fig guy. Let's just get this over with." Suddenlt toka out two fingers together and began throwing blades of Ki, maiming many of the creatures, making them easy targetes for Raikous and himself. He teleported into a groun and performed a quick circular spin, klling a large group. "Something tells me things are just gonna get tougher as we get closer."

[Raikou]

"Good way to find out if we are in the right place then." Raikou replied, slashing with his Valheru Sword, keeping his energy for 'It'. He fired off a volley of slashes and jabs, fast as an omnislash, though aimed at different parts of the body, rather than just the chest. He took out three like this, and injured two more. He put down the two injured figures, and dodged a ki blast, which hit one of his watchers. The explosion lit the forest up for a second, then all went pitch dark, all his watchers dying out for some reason. Raikou took a blow to the side, and hit the floor hard. He could no longers sense the ki sigantures of the furry icers, but felt a large, more powerful signature. The Power Level he could now sense was around 500,000. He heard Toka hit the ground, as well. He looked up, and could vaguely see the dark shape of something that could ony be 'It' running out of sight.

[Toka]

Toka lay on the ground in a daze. Whatever had hit him, it hit him hard. Toka's face was an inch into the dirt, and it didn't taste good at all. His head hurt and he really didn't feel like moving at alkl, but he was sure he was gonna pay 'IT' back. He forced himself and spat out as much as he could., and forced himself to his feet. He looked around, checking to see if there were any enemies. Not readily seeing any, he picked up his scouter and turned into the direction he was hit from. "Whatever hit me is gonna get hurt. You ok Raikou?" Toka continued to scan, noticing that despite the fact that they killed a few, the rest were still here, ready to attack. "tchk, this just isn't one of my days." Toka grabbed his sword and got ready for a quick counter attack.

[Raikou]

Raikou murmered a "Yeah, I'm ok... I think", before forcing himself to his feet, in as much pain as Toka. He drew his Valheru Sword. He was ready for any attacks. Before any attacks came at him, he leapt up, slashed at the overhead branches, trying to let some light into the scene, but to no avail. His sword seemed to go straight through the branches without cutting them. He landed lightly, and pushed forwards off the ground, chopping one of the furry Icer's heads off, with a single slice of the sword. He launched a ki blast off to his right, to stop any attacks from that side, while launching several slices of his sword off to the other side. Glancing around at Toka, he saw Toka killing one of the beasts. He was hit by one beast in the side of the head, or it could have been a branch, he could not see in this light. He hit the ground and scraped along it, hitting a tree. What he guessed was a foot, connected with his stomach, causing him to throw up on the floor. He Felt another hit the back of his head, throwing it forwards, clicking a bone in his neck. He lurched forwards, feeling the pain. He twisted his head so he could see the beasts. Their glowing red eyes were hidden beneath the thick, light brown fur. Their tails were just as muscular as an Icers, if not more so, and their muscles seemed to bulge so much they stretched the skin. The horns were rather grey than black, and the skin, where bare, under the lower stomach, seemed to be armoured. Raikou brought his arm out from under him, and stabbed at the armoured skin. The sword was deflected, sending it flying across the fight scene, landing in the tree, only a few centimetres behind one of the beasts head. "Damn" He whispered. There must be something magical aboutthese creatures armoured parts. Raikou drew his Cobra Dagger, and slashed at the creatures legs. (Raikou had one before he started the quest, but he bought the other one about an hour ago, so he didn't have it to bring to the forest with him) The slash cut across the shins, the creature roaring in pain. Raikou jabbed it at the other standing over him, piercing the skin and slicing the calve muscles. The beast roared, louder than the first, and with more pain. It dropped to the floor, grasping its leg. Raikou climbed to his feet, while they were on the floor, and put them out of their misery, with two downward swipes. He rushed across to the tree which had his sword stuck into it, and yanked it out. He slashed at the back of one beasts head, while releasing his Cobra Dagger, as it transformed into a live Cobra. He helped Toka take out the last few of these animal-like fighters, before sheathing his sword, and picking up the Cobra, which turned back into metal, before shrinking and taking its original shape.

[Toka]

toka had had enough, he was tired off all this hits on his blind side. He out his left arm onto his right wrist and carged a spirirt ball. the ball didn't put off much light, but it was better than nothing and could come with him. He noticed one stray Icer creature, and just in case it was the one that hit him, he'd take it out. Toka cut off it's tail and quickly wrapped the furly tail around it's neck, pulling hard, and breaking it's neck. As it dropped, toka motioned his spirit ball to keep up. "This is getting irriatating. If We don't find 'IT' soon I'm gonna snap. The tension is killing me." Toka kept his sword out. Letting his guard down would be stupid, and as far as he considered himself, he wasn't.

[Raikou]

Raikou agreed. The two continued walking, until they reached a clearing, with still only little light getting through the branches. As Raikou looked up at the darkening sky, the spirit ball died out, and the little light that was getting through the branches darkened slowly ceased. Raikou looked around him, sensing the same ki signature as before. "Think it heard you." Whispered Raikou, laughing to himself, though he was rather nervous, for if 'It' was going to attack again. Its last attack had hurt. Badly. He could still feel the spot he had been hit. A figure made his way up to the spot directly to Raikou's right. Or Toka's left, as they were standing back to back. Light flooded the area, blood red light, possibly ki, as it burnt the skin. The stench of burning flesh filled the air, and Raikou's mind saw images of some dark skinned demon eating corpses flesh. The dark skinned demon turned, and Raikou flashed back to the present, the very same blackskinned demon standing to his right. He turned slowly to face it. Toka did the same. Both drawing their swords, they took defensive positions, awaiting an attack.

[Toka]

Tok didn't want to be on the receiving end on any ot this demon's attacks. He telport4ed up into the air and began to fire Ki balls down at the demon, which moved to dodtge them. Right into toka's hands. He teleported behind the demon while he was in mid jump, and began to slash at him, quickly firing a beam and teleporting away. Cursing at how little it actually did to the demon. He decided to wait for the attack that was sure to come.

[Raikou]

Raikou shot towards the Demon, aiming a slash downwards just as Toka's combo finished. He forced his leg forwards into the Demons ribs, aiming to throw it backwards, and fired a blood red ki blast, although Raikou suspected it would have been white, if it wasn't for this burning red light in the air. As the blast slowly died down, Raikou was shocked at how little damage he had done. The demon rushed in through the space between Raikou and Toka, letting a shockwave fly out of his body, knocking Raikou backward, causing him to hit a tree. He lost track of Toka. Holding his breath, subconsciously, he rushed at the Demon, aiming a jab at its ribs. It twirled out of the way, almost graciously, and hit Raikou in the temple, throwing him to the floor. Raikou's head burst with pain. He could see stars. And Toka, the Demon, many punches, kicks ki blasts, Toka thrown backwards the Demon letting off several miniscule ki blasts, possibly strong enough to destroy a planet, but gentle enough to hold Toka to a tree without damaging the tree. His eyes flew open. Toka was pinned against a tree opposite him, and the Demon was standing over Raikou. Raikou simply moved his head to the side, the Demons swords momentum forcing it into the ground. Raikou brought his leg upwards, swinging his foot into the Demons back. He forced himself to his feet, turned, and fired a weak Chou Khamehameha into the Demons back.

[Toka]

Toka was pinned to the wall, immobile as usual. He tried to free himself, but just couldn't quite muster the strength at his current power. He charged up to 200 million and began to form Ki. Froming a few Ki ball with his stardust and level 2 ki image. He quikly shot the ki blasts to distract the demon and keep him from Raikou.

[Raikou]

Raikou dodged the attacks, letting them pass through to the target, 'It'. He fired off several of his own attacks at the Demon, through Toka's, aiming o give as much damage as possible. He felt the 500 mil Pl he had previously sensed from the demon flare. His scouter picked up a Power Level of around double his own, but it died back down to the original 500 mil. No. That couldn't be right. Raikou's attacks, Toka's attacks, they had done next to nothing. The Demon grinned at Raikou, baring sharp teeth, covered with blood. It's Pl must be way higher than 500 mil, surely. Raikou tried to force his Valheru Sword into its rib cage. Even this sword could not get through the Demons thick skin, impenetrable almost. As if just to prove Raikou wrong, it took a bite of it's fore-arm. Raikou leapt back as blood spurted all over the nearby wood and leaves. Raikou slipped on his Brass Knuckles, launching a flurry of punches. "Hasshuken." He whispered, his arms seeming to split into eight. With the brass knucks on all, he set to work, punch after punch after punch, many leaving ki balls, which exploded on impact. He finished by aiming a kick into the Demon's head, with Titanium Alloyed Toed boots, hitting the centre of the forehead. When he finally let up, the Demon instantly launched a punch into Raikou's stomach, sending him flying backwards. Raikou locked onto Toka's Pl as he crashed into a tree. Distract him, fight, whatever, I just need time to build an attack. He old Toka, mentally. I think I have just the attack. He lay on the floor for about ten seconds, then forced himself upwards, levitating about a metre from the ground, ki emanating from his body, creating a shield around him.

[Toka]

Raikou needed a distraction? He got one. Toka made his Ki copy charge at tje demon, punching at him. It had no effect, but it did keep him busy. Toka turned Super Saiyan, quickly using his ki to disintagrate the tree and Charged a riot javelin at the demon, The teleported to the fron to the demon and fired a sentanial beam. Toka hoped he could at least do damage, he was only a 3/4 his max, not wanting to push himself to far yet. Then he quickly dived over to his sword and grabbed it, getting ready to keep the fight going.

[Raikou]

Raikou's energy flowed out of his body, creating a shield around him, protecting him from any attacks. Toka was kept busy by the Demon, but he looked as though he could keep it up. Raikou's energy slowly moved all to one hand, concentrated, staying at the size of a weak ki ball, but one hell of a lot more powerful. He yelled at Toka to get out of the way. He threw the Controlled Ki Bomb, moving it around Toka, who had not moved in time, but that did not matter. The ball hit the Demon, just as Raikou grabbed Toka's arm, and teleported around half a mile away. Just as Toka started to ask what he was doing, the full ki from the explosion let off, crating a large white dome, which left a crater in the ground. The Demon was still. Raikou's ki level was dangerously low. He reached into his pocket, and pulled out a senzu bean. Popping it into his mouth, he chewed and swallowed. His energy restored, Raikou propelled himself forward, towards the Demon. It looked dead enough.

[Toka]

Toka jumped into the air and began charging a large ball above his head, and preparing to fire a powerful beam fro his other arm. "This is just in case. I think you may wanna move!" Toka charged his galaxy crusher ball above his head. This is the first time outside of training he used it, and it was time for the attack to be proven. It bgan to warp the images around toka's head. Once it was rather large, but very powerful for Toka, he threw it down and waited for it to get near the ground, ready to fire his beam, now stronger than before into the beam. He also watched to be sure Raikou moved, not wanting to hit him.

[Raikou]

Raikou was above Toka by this time, waiting for the attack to destroy the Demon. He was entranced by the images warping around the ball of energy. Hehad the vague impression that his vision was going wrong. Or maybe it was just the sheer ki in this ball of blue energy, and the way the colours swirled. "Go for it." He muttered, as Toka went to throw the blast.

[Toka]

Toka watched as the ball moved into the position he wanted, and fired his charged beam, blowing the attack up. The explsoion was large, clearing a portion of the forest. Toka knew neither he or his scouter to pick a power up. He watched the soke and debree, hoping to see a msacred body, as that proved more than one that wasn't there. If the demon survived this, Toka wouldn't think twice about using his last ditch technique. He squinted his eyes, checking if anything remained.

[Raikou]

The ki signature was either dead or hidden. He hoped it was dead. If hidden, the two sayains could be dead soon. When the smoke cleared, there was not a massacred body, nor was there a dead body, nor a living one. "Let's get out of here." He muttered. The forest started to regrow itself several thousand times faster than usual, and was done in the next few hours, by which time the sayains were long gone.

[Raikou]

Jimmy was the first to enter the forest, followed by the large man, with Raikou behind. Turning so that he could see both Raikou and Jimmy, the man reached up to hold a low hanging branch. Raikou was the first to start the fight, dashing forwards to aim a dagger at the mans ribs. He grabbed it, and threw the piece of metal to the ground, where it silently lengthened and changed shape, becoming a Cobra. Raikou stepped back and turned to Jimmy, indicating that it was his turn to attack.

Jimmy nodded as Raikou's Cobra dagger turned on the man. He would just try to distract him long enough for the snake to get close enough to attack. "Who are you!?" The reply came back "I am Arutha. You on the other hand, are dead." Jimmy laughed, and rushed forwards to dematerialise, reappearing behind Arutha to fire a kick to his back, and a jumping kick to his head. Arutha just turned his head to look at Jimmy. He fired a quick round of punches into Aruthas stomach, then used Zanzoken to give the impression that he was still standing in his original position, though if Arutha had looked, Jimmy was in fact in front of him. Letting Raikou take another turn in the fight, he backed off, and watched as the snake recoiled from Arutha's glare.

[Raikou]

Raikou leapt forward as this stranger went to destroy the snake, throwing a kick into the side of his head. He launched himself up with a boost from ki channelled into the kick. Spinning in midair to face Arutha, he fired a Kikoho through a circle he made with his fingers and thumbs, taking him in the face. Raikou rebounded from a tree and swung a fist into Arutha's spine. He landed on his feet, and grabbed up his Cobra dagger, which had hardened back into its dagger form. Arutha was on one knee but swung an elbow behind him and caught Raikou in the stomach. He fell to his knees, and doubled over, clutching his stomach. Jimmy leapt forward into the fight, and aimed a knee into Arutha's rib.

[kerroi]

Kerroi grabbed Arutha around the throat from behind and brought a knee into his spine. She was thrown over his shoulder, but landed on her feet, turning and firing her "Angelic Rage of the Devil!" The man was thrown back a few steps, but regained his composure. He seemed surprised at the strength in the girl, but attacked her with a spinning backhand punch to her head, throwing her against a nearby tree. She glanced up at him, anger in her eyes and used Telepathy to control the vines of the trees around him to hold him. She rushed forward and threw a round of ki orbs at him.

[Raikou]

Raikou shouted as Arutha threw a punch at Kerroi. He rushed forward to throw a punch of his own at Arutha, but the fighter dodged and Raikou only just dodged a tree. The vines restricted his arms and stopped them moving, anchoring him to near motionless. Raikou took advantage of Kerrois attacks and fired Kakusandan between them, before they all rose into the sky. But instead of seperating into hundreds of ki blasts, they all formed into one extremely powerful attack, and landed on Arutha.
