Raikou looked around, checking the state of this specific part of the planet he had sworn to defend. He hadn't been back here long, only a few weeks.
He had been on the trail of something no Icer had seen, as it killed everything it saw. It had destroyed at least three villages already, and Raikou thought it intended to carry on like this. He didn't like the idea of having to fight so early after losing his powers, but he had no choice.
He glanced to his left, and right, before trecking forward. He had to find this creature. The Pl could not be sensed, but he was sure he could sense it if he got nearer.
Just as he was thinking about this, a rock behind him exploded, showering him with chips of stone, and gravel. Spinning round to meet whatever it was behind this attack, he saw an Icer lying on the ground. The unmistakable stillness of death was in the air.
A high pitched laugh tore his thoughts away from the corpse in front of him.
Raikou's search had ended, but the fight was just beginning. A bright blue ball of energy flew through the air, which soared just above Raikou's head. He ducked to the left, leapt off the floor, and shot into the air, in the direction of this figure. The figure was human-like, possibly another Sayain.
Raikous first blow connected to the side of the fighters head. Before he had lost his powers, he would have crushed the fighters head with that one hit, and it would be over. But this time, the warrior only grunted, and brought his knee into Raikous gut, before throwing him down to the ground by his hair.
The dust cloud around Raikou then blocked out any light that would have given away Raikou's position. Taking advantage of this, he was on his feet instantly, and starting absorbing the suns energy.
The next attack could have taken the warrior by surprise, if it hadn't been for the fact that the suns light started to dim, then diminished completely. In the total darkness, and as the dust cloud had somewhat settled, blue light glittered within the sand cloud the fighter could see.
"Who are you?" Raikou asked, as the persons face came into view. The fighter had entered the cloud, in an attempt to stop Raikou's attack, but it hadn't worked, as Raikou launched the Eclipse Beam Cannon directly into its face.
In the moment before the beam hit, the words "The last remaining Kurita; Shiro" reached Raikous ears.
The dust had settled by now, and somehow the beam, or Kurita's fall didn't unsettle it again. The air above Kurita shimmered for a fraction of a second, before a solid looking pattern appeared in the air. It took the general shape of a star, though there were odd shapes inside of it, and around the edge's.
Behind the star, a large figure appeared. Though it started off as pure shadow, the star shrunk, as it moved towards the figures chest. As the symbol connected to the shadow creature, it combusted, erupting in flame.
The figure leapt forward towards Raikou, attempting to embed its arm in Raikou's stomach. Raikou dodged out of the way, but could not see any way he could physically attack it back without burning himself. Reaching to a long, wide sheath at his side, he drew his Valheru's Inner Ki Soul Reaver. Bringing it up to deflect the fire elementals next blow, he forced the punch to the side, and started to swing the sword from side to side, up and down, with the occasional forward thrust.
"What the hell is this, sending summoned creatures to do your fighting, Kurita!?" Raikou yelled, as his blade hit the things arm.
"It is my Doll. This is how the Kuritas fight. It is our way." And with this final sentence, Shiro lunged forward, and barged into Raikou, knocking him off balance, to the ground.
Raikou looked up, his sword having skidded to a halt about a metre from his hand, at the two figures looming over him, the Doll moving in for the kill...
As the firey hand shot forward, Raikou tilted his head to the side. The attack missed, and hit the ground next to Raikou's head, leaving a small crater in the ground. Raikou could feel the heat burning his cheek, so he rolled to the side, pushed up with both arms when he was on his stomach, and sent himself sailing through the air.
His hands cupped themselves at his side, and a small blue ball appeared between them. By the time he had landed, he had fully charged his Khamehameha, so he sent it directly into the Kurita's back.
Shiro dropped to his knees, then onto his stomach, but before Raikou could have dealt the finishing blow, the Doll had leapt over its master, and brought an elbow into Raikou's stomach. Raikou doubled over. He smelt singed flesh, and again felt the heat licking his skin, but before the Doll had had time to attack again, Raikou had rammed his shoulder into it's stomach, ignoring the heat.
He ducked around the figure, and grabbed up his weapon from the ground. Dashing forward, he dodged the Doll, which had leapt once more over its master, and sunk his blade into the Kurita's stomach.
The blade bit deep, killing Shiro almost instantly. Turning round to attack the Doll, he found shattered pieces of black stone on the ground, some still red hot from the fire. The Doll had died along with its master.
It hadn't been as hard getting back on his feet as he had thought. He thought back to the start of the fight, when the Icer had been thrown down to the ground. He walked over to the body, and bent over, slowly beginning to dig the body a grave.
This would be the mark of the last victim of the Kurita race.
He drew a small Ki deposit of energy, and reached into the air in front of him. The ki formed a solid shape, and shimmered, letting Raikou reach into the dimensional pocket he had always used for storing items. Gulping down some Argon Lixor, he replaced the vial, and drew Khaer from its sheath. He slashed the air in front of him, and stepped through the portal he had created, ending up on the planet Earth.
