Aki's Fight

Gohan, Trunks, I'm ready. I want to prove myself!

[Gohan]

A rush of wind sweeps a small amount of dust over the area as Gohan flashes into sight, perhaps arriving through instant transmission..or perhaps he's simply that fast. He smiles a bit at Aki, taking a relaxed sort of stance and nodding once at her.

"All right," he says, "let's get right to it, then. Come at me whenever you're ready." His expression hardens to something more serious as he prepares himself for the upcoming fight.

"Ok, first things first." Aki wrapped her tail around her waist and tightened her bandana. She was nervous, this being her first fight ever. She sighed to herself. "If I don't, I'll never know the truth about myself." She looked back up at Gohan with a serious look and nodded.

She immediately just dashed straight forward at Gohan and unleashed a flurry of misdirected punches and sloppy kicks.

[Gohan]

Gohan tenses a bit as Aki flies towards him, ready for anything. As she reaches him and launches her attacks, he notices how ragged they seem, and is able to either dodge or block all of them. She's definitly new at this, he thinks to himself. He begins to speak as he continues blocking and dodging at a rapid speed.

"Don't let yourself get so tensed up. Try to relax a bit more," he says encouragingly. "Don't let your movements become predictable either, or it makes it easy for your opponent to do exactly what I'm doing now. Try to do things they won't expect." As an example, Gohan's hand flashes out and grabs Aki's arm just below the elbow during one of her punches. He pulls her forward as he does, moving to one side and using Aki's own momentum to toss her skyward, watching her from the ground, partially testing to see if she has enough control of energy to stop herself.

As Aki flew up high she became very anxious. She couldn't maintain flight like Gohan could and once she reached the maxium altitude she began to fall back to the earth.
Her heart skipped a beat as she became scared at the thought of death. She quickly approached the ground and she saw an encouraging smile on Gohan's face. She felt slightly less afraid and managed to extend her legs toward the ground. She focused as much as she could and was surprised to see herself hovering a few feet off the ground.
She then looked back at Gohan with an excited smile. "Lets try this again!"
She zoomed back at Gohan, fist first but instead of attempting to make contact she baseball slid under his legs and launched a jumping uppercut at him.

[Gohan]

Gohan grins slightly as he sees Aki stop herself a few feet before hitting the ground, nodding at the smile on her face, then prepares himself as she flies towards him again, fist extended. Watching carefully, he gets a bit of a surprise as she changes tactics at the last moment, sliding under his legs and attempting to uppercut him. He kicks off the ground and makes a sort of half-moon shape in the air with his legs, now upside-down with the fist flying straight for his face. He brings his arms down, and catches the punch, feeling a brief shudder move through him at the force of the impact. Using some of his energy to do so lightly, he pushes himself into the air off Aki's fist, spinning around and landing neatly on his feet a yard or so away, nodding again.

"That was loads better than before," he says approvingly. "Now..let's see about defense." His expression grows serious again, and he flashes out of sight, reappearing in front of Aki and beginning a rapid series of punches, moving slower than he would usually, though still plenty fast enough to make it difficult to simply block everything. "Keep in mind," he says as he throws punches, "a real enemy isn't going to be friendly. They're going to use their full power, and they aren't going to care how good you are at defending yourself if they want you dead." He steps up his attacks slowly, eventually throwing kicks as well, trying to get Aki used to blocking and dodging at least most of them.

Gohan's counterstrikes were lightning fast and hard for Aki to dodge. She tried her best to block as many hits as she could, but too many were making it through. She took his tutoring to the heart.
"Right" she said as she prepared a defensive move.
"Hidden Fist!" She declared and put one hand behind her, building a ki blast up and started blocking as many hits with her leading hand. Gohan's hits still continued to strike her, but with every hit she did block she became more confident.
As one of Gohan's kick neared her face, she finally was able to sense it before it hit. She quickly unraveled her tail and leaned back, using it for leverage (Much like Kid Goku would) and pointed her hidden hand up and unleashed the ki blast she had been building. HAAA AAAA AAAAA!!!!!!

[Gohan]

Gohan grins to himself as he continues his attacks, watching as Aki becomes increasingly good at blocking them. "Even if it weren't for that tail, I could tell you're a Saiyan," he says, grinning wryly. "You're improving fast." He raises an eyebrow very slightly as he hears her statement, continuing his attacks, pleased to see she's now fending a fair portion of them off with one hand now. However, he gets a bit of a surprise as he moves to kick her, watching as she falls back and leans on her tail, bringing the hand she'd had hidden behind her back for some time out again and firing a ki blast. Not having enough time to react, Gohan is caught by the blast and tossed back by the resulting explosion, threads of ki trailing off him as he flies back. He laughs at himself a bit for being careless, then flips around as he nears the ground, landing on one hand, then pushing off and doing several rapid flips through the air before landing on his feet again, now with a hole burnt through one layer of his gi and several minor singes here and there on his body.

"All right, I'd say you've got the idea," he says, grinning once again. "There's just one more thing. You can obviously manipulate ki...let's see just how well." He raises his hands to his forehead, one over the other, and begins building energy, a small orange ball forming around his hands and rapidly growing larger, sparks the same color as the ball itself flickering around the attack. Not putting an overwhelming amount of energy into it, he stops after only a few moments, bringing his arms down in front of him with his hands still over one another.

"MASENKO!" he yells, blasting a mid-sized beam of energy forward at Aki.

Aki was proud to see her surprise attack had work. Even though this was her first fight she could feel herself getting stronger. But what was it that Gohan had called her. A saiyan?
Her thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the incoming Masenko blast. She tried to act quick and throw a Couple of silver moon blasts, which unfortunately were absorbed right into the Masenko.
Not knowing what more to do, she placed her hands in front of her in an attempt to try and stop it. She successfully caught the Masenko as it pushed her back inch by inch. The Ki began to burn the palms of her hands but then singe felt somehow good. It felt natural. Almost right. Before long she was just overpowered and the blast exploded on her knocking her back several feet. She layed there powerless. Smoke still rose from her singed clothes and burnt grass. She managed to pick herself up and while trembling in pain raised her hands in fighting position.
The marks of the blast where visible on her face and she could barely keep herself up. She looked at Gohan once more before falling to her knees.
She was majorly dissapointted in herself for her apparent loss and pounded the ground with her fist. "I almost kept it back."

[Gohan]

Gohan watches as Aki tries to defend against his blast, noting with some approval that she's able to at least hold it back for a time despite her inexperience. He winces when the blast goes off and throws he back, though he had partially expected it might. He watches in mild surprise as Aki pushes herself up, apparently ready to keep going, but he can see she's been battered a little too much to be able to fight. He strides over and places a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Don't beat yourself up too much over it," he says, smiling a bit. "Almost is good enough. The point of this wasn't for you to win, it was just to get an idea of your abilities, and I've gotten that. I can tell you'll be able to go a long way if you train hard. Don't worry too much about losing this fight, just make sure you train hard so that if you ever have to, you can come out on top." He offers her his other hand, as much a welcoming gesture as it is an offer to help her up.

Aki gains 12,000 pl.
Gohan gains 1,000 pl.

Aki took Gohan's hand and stood up. She dusted off her clothes and sighed.
"You're right! That was a great fight. I'm going to train real hard and learn of our Heritage. Next time we battle I'm going to make you remember it!" She said with a big smile on her face.

[Gohan]

Gohan smiles back, and nods.

"I'll be looking forward to it then," he replies. He lifts a hand in farewell, and then with a flash and another small rush of air he vanishes from sight.
