Gohan suddenly phases into view on the Supreme Kai's planet. Kibito Kai and the Elder Kai are there, talking seriously about something, most likely the situation caused by the warped wish on the Dragonballs.
"Ah, Gohan, good to see you again," Elder Kai says, giving a slight wave of acknowledgement before he continues talking. Gohan smirks slightly. It's amazing the old Kai can keep his attention so focused, even given how bizarre the situation is. After a time, the Kai sighs, holds up a hand to silence Kibito Kai and turns to look at Gohan, folding his skinny arms behind him.
"Still here, eh? I was hoping you'd see how busy we are here. Come for more power, have you?" Gohan blinked, then chuckled. He didn't bother asking how the Kai had known; the Kais had always had a way of knowing what he needed.
"Well, as it so happens," Elder Kai says offhandedly, "I've recently been able to perfect the use of my powers. I can't give you a transformation more powerful than the Mystic abilities I have bestowed on you, but I CAN raise your power a bit. Not nearly as dramatically as transforming, but it's certainly going to manage a bit more than what you've been gaining from those little gravity chambers." Gohan laughed, and shook his head. No matter how busy the Elder made himself look, he always seemed to have time to check up on what people were doing.
"Now," the old Kai said in a businesslike manner, "this won't be at all like the awakening ceremony. It's going to be a bit painful, and it won't take more than half an hour." The Kai sat and crossed his legs under him, then took a deep breath and extended his arms towards Gohan, one hand over the other, and bowed his head, his eyes closing. A light built on the Kai's palms, and slowly enveloped Gohan, surrounding him like a second skin. Elder Kai spoke again.
"Don't just stand there, start gathering energy. This is where the pain starts, but you'll get through it, I'm sure." Gohan nodded slightly, wondering a bit nervously about this.
Despite his doubts, Gohan clenched his fists and began to power up. However, nothing was noticeable from the outside. The ground didn't shake. No aura, no crashing, no flaring energy. Nothing. But only for a moment. Suddenly Gohan screamed as pain lanced through his body, almost losing the energy he was beginning to gather. He faltered, but continued to power up, shutting his eyes tightly and gritting his teeth against the pain. He roared loudly as he continued to gather power, the energy field around him from the Kai's palms expanding and throbbing slightly, glowing a brilliant blue until Gohan was no longer visible. His screams, however, were easy to hear. The more power he gathered, the worse the pain became.
"Just try to bear it, boy," the Kai murmured to himself. "The more energy you can manage to gather before you collapse, the stronger you'll be when it's all over."
Twenty minutes later the screams coming from within the field were deafening. It had expanded to a huge dome, and now covered a sizeable portion of the ground. Indeed, it was just short of overlapping the Kai himself, but the Elder didn't move. Beads of sweat were actually forming on his brow.
"Blast you boy. I should have known not to underestimate you. You'll have me in there too if you don't run out of willpower soon."
The field was crackling loudly, and the inside was such a bright blue it was nearly white, flashing frequently as Gohan roared from inside. He was experiencing more pain than he thought was possible. It was past anything he'd ever felt in a fight, even beyond what he'd felt from his body when he was battered and bleeding, all energy drained after defeating Cell. Yet he still continued to press further for power. It was impossible to see from the outside, but Gohan had managed to gather enough to become a Super Saiyan, and he was pushing for the second level.
As he pressed onward, the pain began to make him hallucinate. He saw flashes of his past. Moments with his family, fights he had fought and won, and some he hadn't. The last of these served to motivate him further. Anger blinded him from the pain. He was tired of the weakness he had always had. There was no place for it anymore. After the generations he'd spent in Otherworld, some of the time on this very planet, he was finally casting out the one true weakness he had always had. His lack of belief in his own ability.
One more earth-shattering roar ripped outwards into the air around the barrier. This time a flicker of gold was just visible inside. Sparks flashed everywhere around it, and the edges of it began pushing up against the Elder Kai's knees. Inside, Gohan flared into Super Saiyan 2. In the back of his mind he allowed himself to worry whether this amount of stress would drive him mad. But it was a distant worry, and he didn't stop. More power, more pain.
The Elder Kai was forced back as the barrier expanded more and more. Eventually he was forced to get to his feet and back up, but he did so slowly, keeping his focus the entire time, though at this point his expression was strained. Within the barrier, Gohan's hair was flashing from gold to black and back again as he strained to push himself that last bit further. Finally he managed it, his pupils disappearing as the pain blinded him, the barrier so strained that a small shiver actually ran through the entire planet. A moment later, the barrier pulsated powerfully, and...began to shrink. However, Gohan's screams, if anything, got louder.
As the barrier got smaller and smaller, it became obvious that Gohan was actually ABSORBING the barrier. The Elder Kai watched on in disbelief as he took it into his body. The Kai dropped his focus, no longer in control of the barrier anyway. With a powerful and horrific crash that toppled trees and mountains in various places across the planet, Gohan slowly emerged from the blue glow. He was...completely transformed. His hair was now double the length of a Super Saiyan's, although it couldn't compete with Super Saiyan Three. It was also light blue, streaked with a much lighter whiteish blue in various places. His eyes were simply gone. He had no pupils at all, though it was obvious he could see. His build was unchanged. Just like Mystic, he had no extra muscle mass.
The Elder Kai stared as Gohan raised an arm to inspect it. Every time he moved, dozenes of bolts of electricity surged across him. His power was so magnified it was almost oppressive, and could be felt across the universe, though it was beginning to fade out of sensing range as he suppressed it within himself.
The Elder Kai finally managed to speak. "What in the world have you managed to do to yourself? That's not something I've done, my boy. That's a transformation completely of your own making. I just provided a small amount of extra energy." Gohan stared at the old Kai, disbelieving. This power had come from him? All the time he had spent in the Otherworld training HAD done something, then. He had thought he had only grown slightly in power, but apparently dormant powers could be added onto as well.
Gohan took a deep breath, and slowly let the power leave him. He returned to normal, his eyes fading back into view, his hair shortening and turning black again.
"Thanks," he said to the old Kai. And with that said, he instantly passed out, the strain on his body far too much for him to stay concious without the newfound power.

Gohan gains no pl, and instead perfects the Force of Will transformation. Note: This form may matter to players of certain other races in the future....
No details on it will be posted. It will be a mainly secretive form, the nature of which will be told to anyone who gets it (it won't be from the Elder Kai. He had little to do with it). You are free, however, to find what the multiplier is from the pl that Gohan will have displayed for it. ;P
