Raikou was feeling restless once more.
He decided to get back to some training, as he’d been doing well at getting into a routine of it. He thought of the hyperbolic time chamber, so as to keep him away from any other distractions, but there was no point, seeing as the place was so quiet lately. The life he’d been living lately was getting rather lonely as it was anyway, so he decided against it.
Making his way towards the gravity chamber, Raikou decided that soon, he would have to look for one of his old friends to catch up with.
Reaching the room, Raikou entered, this time with his weapons on him. After approaching the system settings panel, he paused, to decide whether to go straight up to twenty times Earth’s gravity, or to get more used to ten times it.
Eventually, he picked the latter option. Tensing his legs, Raikou pressed the same two buttons he had pressed last time he had entered the room, and almost dropped to his knees, but this time managed to stay upright. Pushing hard with his right leg, he managed to get back to full height quickly. After a few quick warm-ups to get him used to the gravity, Raikou started fiddling with the settings keyboard, and soon had a combat droid in front of him, with a power level similar to his own.
In some ways, this was easier than fighting another living fighter, despite Raikou being unable to sense the whereabouts of his opponent, as a droid had a limited array of attacks and defensive manoeuvres.
Raikou started off by leaping forward and pulling back his fist to swing at the droid, which he followed up instantly with another punch from his other hand. Punch after punch swung into the droid, where the stomach would be on a living person, soon followed by a forcefully swift kick to the head, sending the droid flying across the room.
Following the droids path, Raikou dashed forward, and aimed a crushing blow into the cranium of the droid, dismantling it.
Panting, Raikou turned and walked towards the control panel. Examining the controls once more, he set it for what he thought was to send out a new droid once a minute.
Bracing himself, Raikou watched the panel opening to let out a fighting droid, and ducked backwards slightly as it reached him, causing the droid to miss the punch it had aimed at Raikou’s face, giving Raikou an opening into which he could break, knocking the droid back, and firing a Ki blast straight at it.
45 seconds later, the next droid was released. Raikou allowed this one to rain blows down at him, blocking with his arms and hands. Two more minutes, and a third droid was attacking him too. Surrounded by three attackers, Raikous arms were being kept extremely busy. A punch landed in Raikous lower back, which he repaid by grabbing the lower arm of another droid, and twisting it off, throwing it across the room.
A kick to his right thigh was repaid by grabbing a droids fist and pulling it in, and ramming its face with his forehead. The droid fell backwards, deactivated; and another droid swung a kick at Raikous head.
Suddenly, Raikou was behind the droid that had swung its leg, and wrapped his arm around its neck. Pulling backwards, Raikou floored the droid, and fired off a Ki blast quickly at the other droid with his spare hand. As the droid was forced back, Raikou dropped to one knee, twisted to face the floored droid, flattened his hand into a blade, and forced it through the droids stomach.
The droid instantly fell back, flat, deactivated. Raikou was on his feet in time to intercept the charge of the last droid still active, but no more than two seconds later, the droid was down, broken into several pieces.
Just as Raikou finishes the last droid, another comes out, but Raikou takes this one out within a matter of seconds. Switches off the control panel. Almost floats from the release of the majority of gravity’s hold.
Now that he’s stopped moving, he realises how much sweat seems to be covering his body, and the adrenaline rush seems to be subsiding already.
“Someone needs a bath...” He mutters to himself, then walks off to run one, and find the towels in his friends lookout tower.
